DESCRIPTION:Boston has been chosen by national organizers as one of the flagship sites for the October 18 No Kings call to save democracy. BVOCAL has been invited to sing on the main stage! The current plan is to lead the crowd in singing “That’s America” and “First Amendment” (more and more relevant everyday). With possible collaborations with drummers and/or the Good Trouble Brass Band\, we’ll be ready to make some good noise. We may also sing an additional song to support a theatrical piece by Boston’s Creative Resistance Team. \nBVOCAL has also been invited to lead singing at the SEIU 509 statewide membership meeting on October 18. This represents a huge step forward in our mission of reviving a singing tradition across social justice movements.
